Stamps are a fun way to express both likes and dislikes - the things that interest you and the things that annoy the shit out of you. This stamp is an example of the latter.
It seems like 9 out of every 10 original characters have names that are of obviously Japanese origin. This would be fine if these characters were, in fact, Japanese...but it seems that half the time, they're not.
Know that I have nothing against the Japanese people, culture, or language. But for Evil's sake, have some variety, people - it never hurt anyone. There are plenty of other cultures with exotic-sounding names to steal from.
And for anyone who DOES have OCs with Japanese names, please don't take this as a personal attack and type out a novel about why YOUR character's name makes sense, I could really care less (meaning the only response you'll get from me is "tl;dr"). If you disagree, move on and find a stamp you DO like.Sorry, folks, but thanks to some people who apparently don't know how to read the description (what else is new? ), I have disabled comments on this deviation. I have better things to do with my time on dA than stand up for my opinions in the face of butthurt commenters who insist that the message of this stamp is to force people to stop using Japanese names altogether. Yes...because the concept of 'having a little variety' = me imposing upon your creativity. Do the world a favor and grow up, kiddies.
Anyway, sorry to all those who would have liked to comment, but if you want to use this stamp on your page, feel free.
